My Favorite Makeup Products

Hi everyone! I wanted to share my favorite makeup products. These are my most reach-for products for the new year. I really like playing around with makeup but I've become very picky with makeup. I still play around with makeup here and there but these are products I reach for the most. I will be posting full reviews of some of these products soon!

- Benefit POREfessional Primer
-> I ALWAYS apply this primer on the large pores around my nose and a little bit on the center of my forehead.

- Etude House Mineral Bottle Facial Mist Deep Moisture
-> I LOVE this stuff! I ALWAYS spray this mist on my face after applying Benefit POREfessional Primer. It keeps my makeup from looking dry and cakey.

- Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream SPF 40 PA+++
-> One of the best BB creams I've ever tried. I doesn't gave a white cast and it doesn't have a gray undertone. Its very natural and blends into my skin so easily.

- Etude House Play 101 Stick Foundation (Vanilla)
-> My new favorite foundation! Its very natural and very easy to blend. Its also not drying at all. This foundation glides on like butter. Even when swatched, it glides on like butter and is very creamy but not thick at all. You can also apply a second layer but I always preferred one layer.

- Aritaum Full Cover Concealer (Natural Beige)
-> The best concealer I've ever tried! I've always wanted a concealer than was full coverage, light-weight, creamy, and moisturizing. I also really like that it comes with a brush on the other end and its amazing for blending concealer.

- Maybelline Fit Me Blush in Medium Coral
-> The Fit Me blushes don't have great pigmentation. I actually got this as a Christmas gift from one of my best friends. I tried it out and I LOVE the color! Its not as pigmented but I like the fact that I can build it up without looking like a clown because I have very pale skin.

- Anastasia Beverly Hills Tinted Brow Gel (Caramel)
-> I have thick full brows. Filling them in would make my brows look really thick. Using a tinted brow gel makes it easier and I don't have to worry about it.

- Etude House Sugar Tint Lip Balm (#5 Pink Macaron)
-> One if my favorite lip colors. Its not as pigmented but enough to tint my lips. Sometimes I would apply this lip color without a mirror.

- Peripera Peri's Tint Milk (Milky Pink)
-> Out of all the lip colors I have, I reach for this one the most. Its just perfect for everyday. It gives me the perfect pink stain to my lips.

- NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base
-> I don't wear eye makeup as much as I use to. When I do, this primer keeps my eyshadows, eye liner, and mascara smudge proof. This primer is very expensive but its the only one that keeps my eye makeup long lasting so far.

- Maybelline Expert Wear Eyeshadow Quad (Sunlit Bronze)
-> I also got this as a gift from one of my best friends as a Christmas gift. I really love neutral colors especially when they're shimmery. I really like using the darkest shade by itself and sometimes I would use the second darkest shade as a crease color.

- ELF Studio Makeup Remover Pen
-> I ALWAYS keep this in my makeup bag. I use this whenever I make a mistake when applying eyeliner or I have some smudges on my makeup. It works great and very affordable.

DIY Cushion Foundation

Hi everyone! Today I wanted to show you guys how to makeup your own cushion foundation. Cushion foundations are very popular in the Korean cosmetics market. The only downsides are that they target towards light skin tones and most of them have fragrance (which is sometimes not very good for me because it either causes me to have breakouts on my skin or because the fragrance is so strong that it gives me a huge headache).Well now you can make your own cushion foundation with your favorite products!

Why I LOVE cushion foundations:
- Great for traveling or on-the-go
- Its very compact. No leaks or spills
- It lets me control how much product I want and need
- Great for quick touch-ups

- Empty cushion case (ex: Missha DIY cushion case)
-> If you already have an empty cushion case and a used up refill, you can wash the refill sponge with cleansing oil and anti-bacterial soap. Soak it in a jar with the soap and warm water. Make sure the refill sponge is fully clean.
-> Or you can order a refill sponge from the Missha website or kpoptown.com.

- Foundation/ BB cream or you can use both
-> Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream SPF 40 PA++

- Sunscreen (Optional but I highly recommend if you like going outdoors. Sunscreen needs to be reapplied every three hours.)
-> Neutrogena Age Shield Face Lotion Suncreen SPF 70

- Serum
-> Skin&Lab Dr. Color Effect Red Serum

- Liquid highlighter (Optional)
-> I don't own one

- Moisturizer (Very important! Your skin needs hydrating. Without it, you skin may look cakey when touching up your makeup)
-> Belief The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb

- Mix them all together. If you find that its not enough, feel free to add more of the products.

- Remove the sponge from the refill.

- Carefully pour the foundation into the refill.

- Use tweezers to help soak the sponge with the leftover foundation in the bowl and spatula.

- Place the sponge into the refill. Lightly press the sponge in so that it soaks up all of the foundation.

- Place the refill in the cushion compact.

Now its time to test it out!

Looks good! Please ignore the spots on my hands. They're dry and cracked from the really cold weather.

All done! Your very own cushion foundation!

My best friend and I got to together and we each made one for ourselves. I had so much fun making this cushion foundation! I hope this helps you guys in making one for yourselves! =D

UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Since I haven't been posting on my blog for a while, I've decided to put my blog in under construction. I've been trying out lots of ,makeup and skincare products but haven't had the time to post my thoughts here. Again, I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
