Hi everyone! Today I wanted to show you guys how to makeup your own cushion foundation. Cushion foundations are very popular in the Korean cosmetics market. The only downsides are that they target towards light skin tones and most of them have fragrance (which is sometimes not very good for me because it either causes me to have breakouts on my skin or because the fragrance is so strong that it gives me a huge headache).Well now you can make your own cushion foundation with your favorite products!
Why I LOVE cushion foundations:
- Great for traveling or on-the-go
- Its very compact. No leaks or spills
- It lets me control how much product I want and need
- Great for quick touch-ups

- Empty cushion case (ex: Missha DIY cushion case)

-> If you already have an empty cushion case and a used up refill, you can wash the refill sponge with cleansing oil and anti-bacterial soap. Soak it in a jar with the soap and warm water. Make sure the refill sponge is fully clean.
-> Or you can order a refill sponge from the Missha website or kpoptown.com.

- Foundation/ BB cream or you can use both
-> Klairs Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream SPF 40 PA++

- Sunscreen (Optional but I highly recommend if you like going outdoors. Sunscreen needs to be reapplied every three hours.)
-> Neutrogena Age Shield Face Lotion Suncreen SPF 70

- Serum
-> Skin&Lab Dr. Color Effect Red Serum
- Liquid highlighter (Optional)
-> I don't own one

- Moisturizer (Very important! Your skin needs hydrating. Without it, you skin may look cakey when touching up your makeup)
-> Belief The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb

- Mix them all together. If you find that its not enough, feel free to add more of the products.

- Remove the sponge from the refill.

- Carefully pour the foundation into the refill.

- Use tweezers to help soak the sponge with the leftover foundation in the bowl and spatula.

- Place the sponge into the refill. Lightly press the sponge in so that it soaks up all of the foundation.

- Place the refill in the cushion compact.

Now its time to test it out!

Looks good! Please ignore the spots on my hands. They're dry and cracked from the really cold weather.
All done! Your very own cushion foundation!
My best friend and I got to together and we each made one for ourselves. I had so much fun making this cushion foundation! I hope this helps you guys in making one for yourselves! =D
